Animal First Aid
Pets are a huge part of our lives. They are not just pets; they are part of the family! It can be very difficult for a pet to understand in times of stress and injury that we are trying to help them and not increase their distress. This training day is designed to give full protection to the animal/pet and yourself - the first aider!
This is an introductory course enabling you to gain knowledge on basic first aid skills for animals:
- Common animal first aid situations
- Restraining the animal safely
- Examination of injuries
- Attempting life preserving techniques
- Bandaging techniques for wounds
- Managing common injuries to eyes and ears
- Managing the convulsing animal
- Transporting the animal to the veterinary surgery.
This course is designed by a qualified veterinary nurse with over 20 years experience in the industry.
