Defibrillator (AED) Training

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation & Automated External Defibrillation

Studies show heart and circulatory disease claim around 200,000 lives each year.  Many may have been saved if a defibrillator was made available.  Automated External Defibrillators (AED’s) are now becoming more common throughout a range of public and work places.  A casualty’s survival rate can dramatically increase if an AED is available and if you have appropriately qualified personnel to use it.

This 6 hour certificated course covers:

The treatment of an unconscious casualty

     Primary survey

     Secondary survey

     CPR (adult, children, babies)

     Heart Attack

Introduction to AED (Automated External Defibrillator) functions
     Operating the Defibrillator

All students should be aware that the course covers situations that require kneeling and bending etc.  Please make us aware of any special needs or special arrangements we may need to deliver the course safely and allow us to provide all the help necessary.

Please note that a short 'defibrillator awareness' session is included in all our first aid courses but this course will give you an additional qualification.

Refreshments are provided with biscuits and plenty of tea/coffee.

If you would like to book a course, please contact us.

If you have been involved in a first aid situation, we know it is very helpful sometimes to be able to discuss your feelings about what has happened.  We are availabe to help talk these things over confidentially at any time - you don't need to have been one of our students!
