First Aid at Work Requalification Course - Next Course: 17th & 18th May 2012 (future courses)

 

HSE approved 12 hour First Aid at Work refresher course for those who are currently qualified as a First Aider  (FAW) and wish to continue as a HSE approved First Aider for another 3 years.  

 

This course covers all aspects of basic life support along with a vast range of First Aid conditions. Also included will be any new, valid updates and information, enabling all participants to deal with emergency situations with confidence in a prompt, safe and effective way. Subjects covered include:

 

  • Recovery Position
  • Bandaging
  • Assessing dangerous situations
  • How and when to obtain help
  • Contents of a First Aid Box
  • Falls and Fractures
  • Heart Attack
  • Diabetes
  • Strokes
  • Unconsciousness
  • Choking
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation
  • Poisoning
  • Faints and epilepsy
  • Bleeding and shock
  • Burns


We can deliver this course on your premises, reducing your costs in respect of additional time out and travelling.  If you wish your first aid training course to take place at your choice of venue, these are the requirements that would be needed to fulfil a course comfortably and safely.

 

All successful students will be issued with a new First Aid at Work Certificate, valid for 3 years, along with a wallet-sized plastic card detailing their qualification.

 

This course will give participants a qualification to the highest level of First Aid, meeting the statutory requirements of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
